SCORING RESULTS Scores and Updates on Twitter: Scoring will be posting results on Twitter. We will use two different UserIDs. “DS_Scores” will post the top 8 after each stage, showing the total time difference from the preceding car. “DS_Updates” will post information about interesting battles, problems and DNFs. You can choose to "follow" either one or both of these UserIDs from the web or via text messages sent to your phone. In addition we will be using "hashtags" to allow you to follow other people's tweets that are related to the rally. #dsrs for top 8 after each stage and #dsru for rally updates. Signing Up for Twitter: You can follow the updates and standings at Twitter.com by searching on the event hashtags without signing up. However Signing up for Twitter is easy and allows you to select UserIDs that you want to follow without doing a search. Forwarding Tweets to your phone as Text Messages: Once you are signed up for Twitter you can have tweets forwarded to your cell phone as text messages. To do this, from your Twitter home page, click on "settings" and then select the "device" tab. Then follow the instructions to set up your phone with Twitter. Once this is done you can choose to have tweets from specific people (UserIDs) you are following sent to your cell phone as text messages. To limit the number of text messages, you may want to receive only the standings or the updates, however you can elect to receive both if you want. |
